Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger celebrated leaving her 20's on Saturday. In Las Vegas, she had a 30th birthday bash at Lax, which was attended by her fellow Pussycat Dolls, their manager Robin Antin and producer Polow Da Don:
Nicole and the girls performed on stage and Nicole was presented with a massive chocolate birthday cake. Melody was rocking the same pink dress that Cassie wore at last week's BET Awards.

THE PUSSYCATDOLLS: WHEN I GROW UP [VIDEO PREMIERE].....
The Pussycat Dolls finally premiered their video 'When I Grow Up' last night. The track is the first single from their sophomore forthcoming album Doll Domination which will drop in stores on September 18th. Check out the vid:
The video was FIERCELY hot. It was just an overall fun, colourful and energetic video, and Nicole stood out like a sore thumb. I think we should start getting use to the fact that Nicole will always be treated above the rest as far as PCD is concerned, especially when she appears to get a large percentage of camera time, whilst the others get minimal spotlight.

Yesterday, The Pussycat Dolls performed their latest single 'When I Grow Up' on So You Think You Can Dance:
Good performance as expected, but Nicole sounded a hot mess. The video for 'When I Grow Up' will be posted later today when it premieres. As for the vid, Britney's cameo has been cut for reasons unknown. She shot her part for the vid but it won't be used. It was nothing major but still, I know a lot of Britney fans are pissed that they used her for promotional gain only for them not to use her at all.

The Pussycat Dolls were spotted shooting their new video for latest single 'When I Grow Up' on the streets of Hollywood this week:
All the Dolls were seen dancing on top of a construction site before having their make-up retouched on a double decker sightseeing bus. I'm not really seeing how the vid relates to the song though. I'm sure it'll be a hot dance vid all the same.

The performance was straight fierce. These girls always know how to put on one hell of a show. I guess Nicole will always be programmed to carry the group vocally, although Melody also deserves to have equal singing duties because she can sing just as good as Nicole, if not - better.

Aw! Look at Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z getting their dance-on as they celebrated their nuptials in Cannes alongside good pal Diddy. It was another day of partying for Diddy as the Vodka stayed swilling:
Beyonce was also spotted sipping on champaign that night deadening any rumours that she's expecting her first child. It looks like they were enjoying themselves to Beyonce's 'Get Me Bodied', lol. Beyonce's hair looks like it could be real - what a rarity! Nice length and that but her hair is really thin, like Janet Jackson's. I can see why she consistently rocks lace fronts. Anyway, a party simply isn't a party unless a catchy dance track like Get Me Bodied is blaring out of those speakers.
Yesterday, TMZ reported that Sean Combs was not paying homage to the $100 million he was paid for a contract endorsement with Ciroc Vodka. If anything Diddy was photographed at many parties this week swilling everything BUT Ciroc Vodka:
Knowing that Diddy had put himself in hot water, he quickly released a statement through his his current publicist Kwasi Asare. Amerie was looking totally different last night. She was sporting an edgier hairdo which was a lighter shade of brown and wore a one shouldered yellow Herve Leger dress at yesterday's Maxim Hot 100 Party. Many of Maxim's hottest woman of 2008 attended to acknowledge their hotness:
Are you feeling it? I can't say I am. I don't think lighter shade of hair compliments Amerie's looks and she's naturally pretty. I don't fault her for wanting to change her look though. It gives us something to talk about.

Here's some news on the new Pussycat Doll album. It is called 'To Those Who Wait', and it will be released on August 4th (August 5th in the States). The album features 14 brand-new tracks with production from Sean Garrett, Timbaland, and Fernando Garibay and collaborations from Will.i.am, T-Pain and Ne-yo. They will begin a whirlwind promotional tour for the album's lead single 'When I Grow Up' throughout June and July, before performing a massive one-off showcase at New York's Gotham Hall for the album in New York on August 2nd.
At the American Idol finale last night, many former Idol winners/contestants were there for the closing season, such as Jordin Sparks, Ruben Studdard, CarrieUnderwood (not pictured) and Fantasia. Jordin performed 'One Step at a Time'. Syesha Mercado looked really beautiful last night when she performed 'Waiting for You' with Seal, whilst six female contestants were partnered with disco Queen Donna Summer. The routine featured the disco diva singing her new song 'Stamp Your Feet' for the first time in front of an audience:
Fantasia was also spotted with her man Dro. As for who won American Idol last night, I won't spoil it for UK viewers who have yet to watch the show (it airs tonight). Fantasia looked a ghetto fool. Jordin looked cute and classy. And looking at Melinda Doolittle hurts my damned soul.

Yesterday, the Pussycat Dolls performed for the first time their funktastic new single 'When I Grow Up' on Jimmy Kimmel Live:
The performance was great. It was colourful and energetic. Everything I expected it to be, for the type of song that it is. I'm a lil surprised they're still treating Nicole like the front woman, whilst the others continue to dance their asses off. Some things will never change. I was liking the lil breakdown in the middle. The girls are back in full swing.

R&B chicks are getting ready to unveil their new music. Here, we have the official single covers for Cassie's 'Official Girl', Keri Hilson's 'Energy', Jennifer Hudson's 'Spotlight' and The Pussycat Doll's 'When I Grow Up':
Jennifer's song is written and co-produced by Ne-yo and produced by Stargate and will hit radio airwaves on June 9th via Arista Records and will be released digitally (iTunes) on June 10th. Coincidentally or maybe not, someone may have came over to Toya's World on May 5th and decided they liked the pic I used when her song All Dressed Up In Love, from the Sex & The City soundtrack leaked. I selected it from a photoshoot that was shot a while ago by Michael Thompson. I had no idea this was going to be the very pic used for her official lead single 'Spotlight'. Niiiiice. Her album is slated for a September release.
Jen has also spoken about the new album:
"Spotlight," which addresses insecurities within a relationship, is one of many stellar songs which showcases Hudson’s amazing powerhouse vocals. J. Hud worked with a whole list of writers and producers including Timbaland, Robin Thicke, The Underdogs, Diane Warren, Tricky Stewart and more.
"I'm beyond ecstatic about my new album," says Hudson. "I think people will be pleasantly surprised, because it shows a side of my work that no one has heard before. Also, it looks like Energy WILL be Keri's lead single. As previously reported, the track will be released on iTunes on May 27th via Mosley Music/Interscope Records. The song was penned and produced by The Runawayz: Sam Watters, Wayne Wilkins, Louis Biancaniello & Rico Love – the same folks who produced and co-wriiten Leona Lewis's 'Take a Bow'. The cover art is taken from Keri's recent kick-ass Giuliano Bekor photoshoot.
The Pussycat Doll's new single 'When I Grow Up' will also be released on iTunes on May 27th via A&M/Interscope Records. The track, as we all know was produced by Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins and they will perform the song for the very first time later today on Jimmy Kimmel. Look out for it.

The uptempo club-banger is the lead single from the 'doll's forthcoming sophomore album. Girl power is reigning down on us yet again, and with the girl groups all fighting to come out on top this summer, the claws will definitely be out. Round one goes over to PCD. I think it'll do well because it's different but it has the elements to become a certified radio hit. Right now, the song is getting mixed reactions but what do YOU think?

The girls will release their as-yet-titled sophomore album sometime in the summer, but a tentative release date has yet to be announced. We'll soon see why Nicole aint shit without the other dolls. But that said, I look forwards to hearing the new single. It seems this summer is all about the girl groups.

On Thursday night, Nicole Scherzinger and the Pussycat Dolls performed at the Pussycat Dolls by Robin Antin Fall 2008 fashion show during the MBFW, and set temperatures souring by putting on a sizzling show:
.... behind the scenes they chilled out with the legendary Quincy Jones. The lingerie is expected to extend the Pussycat Dolls brand, athough Nicole couldn't do it in her bid for solo stardom, lol. Of the brand Antin is quoted as saying 'It is the hot ticket because the Pussycat Dolls, they're just amazing'. But here comes the funniest line: 'I think people get excited because everything we do, it's quality.' She also adds: "The lingerie line was inspired by punk-rock music and old-fashioned pinup girls". Well, it appears everybody and their mama is coming out with some kind of fashion brand. Lindsay Lohan who has basically wrecked her movie career (and has hired Ne-yo for her upcoming music career) even has one .... for leggings. Seriously. *smh* If I were to have one I'd name mine Sexual Prerogative. I'd sell knickers that you can open up at the crotch, for quickie purposes only. Haha, maybe not. But it just seems you don't even need to have the knowledge or the experience to maintain one these days.
Spice Girl Mel B and hubby Stephen Belafonte were spotted this week, frolicking in Miami:
I know she works out loads but her stomach looks lipoed to me. I can't hate on her because she's in fine form. She'll be getting knocked up soon too. She wanted to have another baby with her new hubby but had to put it on hold because of the Spice Girls tour. Now that it's over, expect to hear the patter of tiny feet really soon. In other news, Eddie Murphy claims he won't see his daughter Angel because Mel tricked him into fatherhood. The Nutty Professor actor claims the Spice Girl insisted she was on birth control, and revealed they only had sex three times. After a paternity test proved Eddie to be the father, he had no choice but to accept Angel as his, but he is refusing to see the little girl because he doesn't want to set eyes on Mel. What a fucking prick. So you're going to punish your own daughter because of the mother?!?!? An innocent baby????? And last time I checked, contraception is a TWO-WAY thing. If he didn't want another child, he should have kept that closeted penis of his fully wrapped up. There's no such thing as being "tricked" into fatherhood.

This week, Mariah Carey was spotted sashaying through New York's Times Square in a black shiny jacket and super fly sunglasses. The iced-out singer looked pretty chilled when she took time out to meet her devoted lambs. Infact, one of them presented her with an early birthday present in the form of a Hello Kitty doll:
Mariah is about to reach the ripe old age of 38, but yet stays extending her HELLO KITTY collection. In fact, Mariah's New York home is a shrine to the adorable kitten franchise. Mariah will also be this week's musical guest on Saturday Night Live with Jonah Hill as a guest host. Apparently, Mariah is replacing her label mate Janet Jackson who dropped out due to having the flu. The singer was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to "shortness of breath". I hope Janet makes a full recovery asap. However, this is something major for Mariah because she hasn't appeared on SNL for 10 years. Mariah will also act as a mentor in an upcoming special airing of American Idol (Idol Gives Back) where she'll perform latest new single Touch My Body.
Another singer who will be participating in 'Idol Gives Back' is Fantasia who was spotted with her fella Young Dro as they departed Mr Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills earlier this week:
Fantasia paid a visit to the Republic of Angola in Africa with a film crew from American Idol because they shot footage for the Idol Gives Back special, which will air April 9th on Fox. I am glad she finally got rid of that nasty ass skunk hair. She still looks fried to me. Just not platinum-fried. Anyway, they make a horrible couple.
J. Holiday and Fat Joe visited TRL at MTV Studios in Times Square yesterday in New York City where they both performed:

Yesterday, the singer released her Greatest Hits album. Hmmm, funny. Cos I don't recall her having enough hits to put out a whole greatest hits catalogue. Despite being dropped from Jive, she has also started work on the new album, which is likely to be distributed under an independent label. Good luck to her on that.
