Teyana Taylor walked the runway to model swimsuits by Diesel and debuted her official second single 'Move'. She performed the track at Diesel's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim kick-off in Miami this past Thursday:
Pharrell Williams' 17-year-old protégé from Harlem also closed off the show on Thursday night. "I'm speechless that they picked my song" Taylor said, minutes after she'd bopped down the catwalk to her song, "Google Me Baby". Diesel had invited her to model, and Taylor felt it was a great fit. "Me and Diesel, we've got so much in common," she said. "My style is so Diesel!" She's kind of scary but it's good that you don't have to look like Giselle to get your catwalk on these days. Nice.
Rihanna was seen going on her many shopping sprees this week, with her best friend/assistant Melissa and co. She was seen outside of Fred Segal's on Thursday afternoon:
Cute get-up. Speaking of get-up, the ambitious career-minded 20-year-old is on course to set up her own clothing line. She doesn't just want to put her name on the line but she wants a major role with the developing side of it as well: "I am working on that right now. It takes a lot of effort, and I want to be involved with every step of the process". Rihanna also admitted that her own fashion sense is unconventional as she likes to break established style rules. She explained: "The idea of not wearing brown and black together seems so dated. The other day I wore a black T-shirt, black. Nobody jeans, a brown leopard-print belt by Dolce & Gabbana, and brown Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and it looked awesome". She added: "Also, the rule about not matching your makeup to your outfit. I do that onstage, matching red lipstick to a bright red jacket or neon-pink eye shadow to a pink jumpsuit. And I also love to mix prints". Interesting.

He needs to quit with his STOP HATING T-Shirt because no one is hating on their "love". Just hilariously entertained at the bizarre union they call a marriage, lol.

TAMIA: REAL LIFE DIVA'S....
The extremely beautiful and talented Tamia had a BET special last week, which looked into the very early stages of her career, how she started out and her struggles to become successful. It also looks into her 2008 tour, her challenge to being a mother of two and what she's currently up to this very moment. The special follows Tamia's story from early 90's (when she was first discovered by Quincy Jones) right up until 2008. Even if she didn't receive the same accolades to that of her fellow powerhouse diva's Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, vocally, Tamia was up there with them, in my opinion.
I'm not just saying that because she's my favourite R&B singer. Her vocals really does give you chills. At least they did me. She delivered the magic on 'You Put A Move On My Heart', which is a VERY hard song to sing but at 18, Tamia sang her heart out effortlessly over the track. When she sings, you actually feel the raw emotion which is what true artistry is about. I remember listening to that, and thinking, wow! I was only 16 years old at the time but since then I've always supported Tamia and have never stopped being a fan since. In the special, her mama (who looks rather youthful) speaks about Tamia's journey as well as her producers such as David Foster (who also worked with Whitney on The Bodyguard soundtrack), Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, Shep Crawford, her collaborator Eric Benet and many others who took the time out to speak about working with Tamia in this special documentary. TAMIA TO RECORD LIVE ALBUM // DETAILS ON HER SOUL SUMMER SERIES GIG......
My favourite R&B singer Tamia will be recording her first ever live album, which will take place during her Washington DC gig on August 10th. The singer will also co-headline the Soul Summer Series, in Miami, FL on Saturday, July 26th at the BankAtlantic Center, as she continues her US summer tour.
I can't wait for the live album. I will gladly buy it. Shiiiit. I'll buy ANY Tamia album. All of her music is legally in my collection. She's just one of those artists that sounds amazing live AND in the studio. And on top of that, she puts out good music! Tamia's gig will see the songstress perform hits from her latest album, Between Friends, as well as classic songs such as, "Stranger In My House" and "Officially Missing You." Joining Tamia during her concert will be R&B crooner, Brian McKnight and Grammy award winning songwriter Gordon Chambers and introducing Bradd Marquis. CELEB SPOTTINGS: R&B SINGERS OUT & ABOUT....
The season of soul music presented itself over the weekend with five-time Grammy Award Nominee Tamia and her hubby Grant Hill performing at the 2008 Summer Soul Series in New York City which went down at the Beacon Theater:
Tamia looked absolutely beautiful as her handsome hubby served as a stage prop, although I'm sure he's a much better performer on the basketball courts than on the musical side. I guess he was there to support Tamia on her latest gig. They're such an amazing couple.

Usher was seen enjoying sausages and getting all flirtatious with a bunch of grapes, much to the approval of his wife Tameka who was also spotted on the scene. The singer's 6-month old son was also on board. Devoted Usher still found time to do his fatherly duties during his working period.
Over the weekend, Christina Milian participated in the Global Volunteer Day program:
The singer was one of few celebs to volunteer in taking part in a team building event at the Penny Lane Agency in North Hills. The event is designed to help the children work together, rely on one another, and offer one another their support.

My favourite singer Tamia (and stylist June Ambrose) attended an early Mothers Day charity fundraiser event in Los Angeles this week to salute mothers staying at Ronald McDonald House:
The "spa and wellbeing" event was hosted by singer Tamia, supermodel Cindy Crawford, Marc Anthony's ex-wife/model Dayanara Torres and stylist June Ambrose. Mothers with sick children were treated to manicures and neck and shoulder massages, make-up tips, and consultations provided by JAFRA Cosmetics International Inc., as well as gift bags filled with beauty items. During the celebration Ambrose offered moms exclusive styling tips typically reserved for her VIP clients, while Tamia entertained discussions with the group about the joys and challenges of motherhood. Gotta love Tamia. Still the inspiration I've always said she was.

She's been promoting her latest single 'Daylight' like crazy. The sad thing about it is that in the UK, it'll be a top 10 hit without a doubt.

My girl Tamia looked absolutely amazing when she attended the prestigious Ascap Pied Piper Award event honoring Quincy Jones in New York City last night:
Her whole outfit was absolutely hot from head to toe. The matching shoes and dress is hot. Tamia is such a pretty woman. I love her to bits and her latest album will never get old, soooo, to those that asked why I won't change my CD OF THE MOMENT, you're going to have to bear with it a little longer. *snicker*

Love Story has also been confirmed as the third single. With Bye Bye and Love Story, actor Nick Cannon will be appearing in both video's as her love interest. And finally, the big one. It's FINAL. According to Soundscan figures, Mariah has sold 462,971 copies of new album E=MC². She has debuted at no 1 with the album and those sales are the highest first week numbers of her entire career. CELEB SPOTTINGS: R&B SINGERS OUT & ABOUT....
Last night, legendary diva Whitney Houston attended Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night XIV at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa on April 5, 2008 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Whitney was looking really well that night:
She even renewed her silicones for the special occasion, and to celebrate, she had them out on full display. They were trying to detach themselves from the dress. Whitney appeared completely not at all fazed by ex-husband Bobby Brown's claims that she was the reason he became a crackhead (eh? I always thought it was the other way round. Hmmmmm). Whitney's mentor Clive Davis wasn't too far behind. Backstage, she was seen chilling out with fellow legend Dionne Warwick and her 'Bodyguard' co-star Kevin Costner. Talk about CLASSIC! Anyway, I am definetely waiting on that new album of hers. Whitney may not have performed at the event, but check out which R&B songstresses took to the stage.

Mariah's promotional stint in the UK has finally come to an end. Yesterday, she appeared on the RTL TV show "Deutschland sucht den SuperStar" in Cologne, Germany on April 5th:
At the end of the show, Mariah sang Touch My Body in a short black dress. Afterwards, she was asked which of the contestants was her favorite, but she said she's too nice to pick among them and that they were all amazing. Um, yeah, watch them ask her the same mess when she appears on American Idol in 10 days time. Anyway, the show she appeared on is equivalent to American Idol and the UK's 'X-Factor'. The female contestants were singing Mariah tunes whilst the male contestants had to sing Take That tunes. So I guess Mariah was mentoring just like how she'll be mentoring on American Idol.

CELEBRITY FASHIONISTA SPOTTINGS: R&B SINGERS OUT & ABOUT ....

As she's adored by many on here, check her out when last night she attended the Rock & Republic Fall 2008 Fashion Show at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week in New York City, February 2nd:
I am soooooooo happy she lost that ridiculous Deena wig that Beyonce wore in Dreamgirls. However, at last nights event she looked fabtacular from head to toe. She must have been reading the blogs and decided to switch her game up completely. BIG IMPROVEMENT.

Last year March, Joss attacked Christina AND her mother Carmen in an interview with KING magazine. They both dated Beau Dozier and Joss just came across as extremey bitter. However, Christina admitted that Joss called her up and apologised. I am glad they've settled their differences.

Will she fail it or will she nail it? This will probably be one of the biggest moments of her career and she will want to set a memorable impression.
My favourite singer in the whole wide world attended a Superbowl pre-game party for the NFL on Friday night, which was kicked off by Maxim magazine:
