Ashanti (and Akon) were spotted shooting their cameo's for rapper Nelly's new video 'Body On Me'. The video was shot by director Benny Boom at the Red Rock Casino Resort in Vegas:
This song is like the millionth collaboration from the rapper's forthcoming album 'Brassknuckles', which unsurprisingly has been poorly received so far despite a star-studded guest list. The song is also featured on Ashanti's 'The Declaration', so it's pretty much her single too. This will mark the first time the couple did a music video together (correct me if I'm wrong), which shows they're being a little more open than usual with their relationship as Ashanti is VERY private when it comes to her relationship with Nelly. As I stated before the song is very summery but if Ashanti can't resurrect her OWN music career, what makes Nelly think that his girlfriend can, or Akon for that matter?

Judging by the video, it sounds like it's going to be mad racy - torture, handcuffs, hmmmm (I'm sure this came as second nature to Aubrey) but this video should have been out a while ago. I guess Diddy is stepping up - slightly. At least they didn't have to wait an ice age like last time. But their album is no longer visible on the chart. And what is going on with poor Donnie? There hasn't been any word whatsoever on his new album after his two singles have flopped. Not that I care much because he sucks, but I do feel kind of bad for him.

The video is being directed by director of the moment Melina. The video will have a female empowerment theme which I'm quite happy about because it fits the song. Energy is the first single from forthcoming debut album In A Perfect World which will drop on Sept 23rd.

RIHANNA ON THE SET OF 'DISTURBIA'....
Yesterday, Rihanna was spotted on the set of her forthcoming video 'Disturbia' in Los Angeles, where she was seen wearing a feathery headpiece and red shiny high sky pumps:
Cute ass shot Riri. I'm sure your haters will be queuing up for a sniff. The vid is directed by the prestigious David LaChappelle. The video looks like it's going to be really creative, but then so did J.Lo's 'Do It Well' video and that turned out to be pretty wack. I'm sure Rihanna's vid won't be a letdown because her label gives her the best of everything. She's one of the high priority artists on that label alongside Mariah. SYLEENA JOHNSON: 'LABOR PAINS' LISTENING PARTY....
R&B singer Syleena Johnson had a listening party this week for her forthcoming album 'Chapter 4: Labor Pains'. Syleena was having a lot of fun during that 10 minute footage fooling around as well as paying homage to her nearest and dearest. However.....
What entertained me the most about the video was her EXTREMELY ghetto assistant who couldn't control herself. It was really hilarious. Security had to step in and tell her obnoxious ass to calm herself down. Syleena's album is scheduled to drop on September 2nd, 2008 and will be released on her own Independent label ANEELYS Records.

'I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time' is such a radio friendly single and without a doubt, one of the best songs on her latest album E=MC². PUSSYCAT DOLLS ON THE SET OF THEIR NEW VIDEO.....
The Pussycat Dolls were spotted shooting their new video for latest single 'When I Grow Up' on the streets of Hollywood this week:
All the Dolls were seen dancing on top of a construction site before having their make-up retouched on a double decker sightseeing bus. I'm not really seeing how the vid relates to the song though. I'm sure it'll be a hot dance vid all the same.

DVD SNEAK PEEKS: RIHANNA'S 'GOOD GIRL GONE BAD' CONCERT....
With the release of Rihanna's re-released album Good Girl Gone: Reloaded comes a DVD of Rihanna's Live Good Girl Gone Bad tour which took place over the course of last December and early this year. Here's the German trailer for the DVD:
The footage comprises of clips of Rihanna performing her most notable songs such as Umbrella, Don't Stop The Music, Shut Up and Drive & Hate That I Love You. Over in Europe the DVD is slated to drop June 13th and June 17th everywhere else. Will you be buying?

AMAZON has posted all the snippets from Usher's forthcoming album 'Here I Stand'. ALL nineteen tracks. So if you go over to the site by clicking here, you can listen to them.

There were loads of Usher tracks that leaked last week, and it was uncertain which songs would make the track-listing but I guess these 19-tracks are official. As for the snippets, I will save my opinions when the whole album leaks where I can give an honest review. Usher's album Here I Stand will be released in the UK and the rest of Europe on May 26th and May 27th in the US.

ASHANTI: MOTHER [NEW SONG FROM 'THE DECLARATION']....
Another song called Mother, taken from Ashanti's forthcoming album The Declaration (June 3rd) can now be heard via a clip which sees Ashanti dedicating the song to her mother. Check out the footage of Ashanti singing the song to her mother in the recording studio:
The song, which is written by Ashanti and produced by Babyface, is a stunning heartfelt ballad, showcasing the growth in Ashanti's vocals. I am just really relieved that she's not screaming over the track. And as today is mother's day in the United States, this song could not have presented itself on a more relevant day.

Here is Usher on the set of his new music video 'Moving Mountains'. The video is directed by The Brothers Strause who also did Love In This Club. The track is the 2nd single from his forthcoming album 'Here I Stand' which will be released on May 27th. The video is a continuity from his last video Love In This Club. Looks pretty intense. I basically laughed out loud at his facial expressions. That said, the song is hot and the video looks fierce. I wonder why Keri Hilson wasn't used again as the main video chick. It only made sense. Ah well. More pics after the fold.

BEHIND THE SCENES: SOLANGE KNOWLES 'I DECIDED' VIDEO....
CNN captured Solange Knowles behind the scenes of her forthcoming new video 'I Decided'. Check it out:
Wow. The video looks like it's going to be incredible especially with the costumes and scenes reminiscent of the 60's era. And judging by that clip, Solange really does come across as an articulate well rounded and intelligent young woman. Beyonce (who doesn't appear in the footage) was also on hand at the scene to give her lil sis some guidance.

Michelle appears to be really psyched about this album. In fact, I've never really seen her show this much enthusiasm for a project outside of Destiny's Child but hopes are really high. She is looking really good. In the clip she talks about the concept behind her forthcoming album Unexpected, which drops on August 12th.

Yesterday, Michelle Williams was spotted on set, shooting her new music video for latest single We Break the Dawn in downtown Los Angeles:
It'll be interesting to see Michelle shaking her skinny butt around a barricade of fit male dancers, fresh from walking out of the gospel chapel. It looks like it's going to be a sexy video, and she's looking fly. For those that aren't in the know, Beyonce's lil sis Solange co-wrote the track, and on Tuesday Solange also shot the video for her single, the Pharrell-produced I Decided. Both girls will release their albums two weeks after the other. Michelle will release Unexpected on August 11th whilst Solange will release Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams on August 26th. Things are about to get interesting.

The girls look good but the video looks EXACTLY like their Unappreciated video judging by that small clip. Their video's aren't that visually engaging to me. All I care about is that their album is bangin' so I can just chill out to it in the summer. Their album The Truth will hit stores on May 13th.

Yesterday, clips of Mariah Carey's new movie 'Tennessee' debuted online (Thursday April 17th). She has a starring role in the new independant film, in which she plays a Southern waitress who sets off in search of her father. I've enclosed two different clips of the movie. Check it out:
It looks a lot better than Glitter (which sucked, both the movie and Mariah's acting). I'm willing to give this new movie of hers a chance. Sadly, because of Glitter a lot of people will probably write if off. But you can't get any worse than that so I think people should give the movie the benefit of the doubt. It's been some years now and I believe she's used those years productively to improve her acting skills. You can peep the 2nd clip under the fold.
