SAMANTHA MUMBA: 'GOTTA TELL YOU' REMIX [NEW VIDEO]....

The official video for Samantha Mumba's remixed single 'Gotta Tell You' has now surfaced. Apparently, the 25-year-old singer is re-releasing her 2000 smash. The Clubland Live tour remix of the song is remixed by Micky Modelle. Check it out:

Hate it. And I prefer the original. The video premiered on June 13th on Clubland TV and has a James Bond spy theme. She also appeared on the Clubland Live tour performing the track. After this, she signed with All Around The World. It seems that she's jumping on the popularity of the dance wave right now. That's the type of sound that's hitting it big in the clubs as of late. I'm not getting why she'd re-release a song that is almost a decade old. I was hoping for something much better for her comeback. Samantha will release her new album later on in the year.

Mya put her broadway skills into practice over the weekend when her cast of Chicago performed 'All That Jazz' at the 'North Shore Animal League's 2008 Tour For Life Grand Finale' Adoption event. The dancing cast strutted their stuff at the FAO Schwarz toy store in New York City:

Mya was looking like the ever so perfect sexy Velma Kelly that night. I have no doubt she'll do the role justice. The ambitious 28-year-old has been locked in rehearsals for her all important debut which will go down on May 12th through July 13th.

Samantha is my chick but without all the the weave and make-up and whatever else that defines today's beauty, she was looking a lil rough around the edges and less glam than usual. Still got mad love for her though. And I would love to hear new music from her .... if we ever get it.

Herve Leger dresses aren't for everybody. In fact, there should be an immediate blacklisting on that dress, sort of like the writers strike thing (I'm glad it's over and that Supernatural, Smallville and Lost are back on our screens, followed by Prison Break and Kyle XY which are coming back shortly. The singer is reportedly releasing a book based on her memoirs. That should be pretty interesting. I'm sure she has a lot of juicy things to write about such as whether she truly slept with her late husband's arch rival, the late Tupac Shakur. Well, she denies it (but doesn't mean it aint true).

So En Vogue really are serious about their comeback. I give it another week before Dawn bails out again and they split. The group (Cindy, Maxine, Dawn and Terri), reunited on Saturday night to perform at the 4th Annual Plymouth Jazz Festival Tobago:




Yikes! They're not aging very well at all. Then again not everyone can be in their 40's like Stacy Dash and Halle Berry and put chicks half their age to shame. But they looked ..... like smoked H.A.M roasted on a spit. Please don't tell me Dawn took off her hair piece afterwards. What the hell?

A Samantha Mumba appearance is a rarity these days but the Irish pop singer was out and about for all the right reasons. Earlier today, the 25-year-old was spotted at World Vision 24 Hour Famine Fundraiser photocall in London:



After that hilarious fiasco with Dru Hill last week, I just thought it was funny seeing Sisqo's ex prop up. She probably cut her ties because he was broke (did ya'll hear the deafening roar of his engine? Didn't sound healthy, lol), hence trying to put together a Dru Hill reunion and being even madder that their chances were scuppered thanks to a Mr 'I found God now but let me try and punch a negro' Woody. Now I'm reading that Woody is STILL in the group. So as suspected, this definetely looked like a publicity stunt. I don't really care either way. Dru Hill was the shit back in the day although I hated their last album. You can peep my favourite Dru Hill album in my R&B Hotness catalogue. As for Sam, I know some of you are curious as to what the Mumbster has been up to musically. She's recording a new album that is all I can say but then, she's been trying to make a comeback since '06 without prevail and things didn't look so good after she was booted off Dancing On Ice back in early February. She has a new man in her life as well. He's an American cop, 24 years old, still married to his wife as well and they met at a nightclub 6 months ago. His name is Torray Scales and they are making plans to move in together. CLICK HERE to check him out.

Who'd have have thought that the lead singer would resume her role to the group with the back-up singer leaving for good? It's funny that the turn of events has appeared to defy all odds. Carmit wasn't much of a huge asset to the group anyway so I don't think she'll be missed that much but good luck with her solo ventures. That said I truly look forwards to the new PCD album. They better come with it because Danity Kane are getting FIERCE with theirs.

Beyonce and fella Jay-Z was seen this past weekend hiding from the paparazzi as she left Waverly Inn:



Since when has Beyonce become camera-shy all of a sudden? If she no longer wants the paps to take her pic, she really needs to sack whoever it is in their camp that keeps tipping off the paps about their wheareabouts and where they're heading to. Nuff said. Otherwise, stop trying to front like you weren't expecting them to be all up in your face when you've NEVER taken such drastic measures before especially in keeping your face out of public view.

It feels like an old age since we heard anything from Irish pop singer Samantha Mumba. After years of trying to resurrect her pop career to no avail, Samantha's big break could be just around the corner. Apparently, she has signed up to become a contestant on the hugely popular Dancing On Ice. Earlier today in London, she attended the 'Dancing On Ice' press launch at the Natural History Museum:



Sam really fell off career-wise but I still always hoped she'd make a musical comeback. She had some infectious and catchy pop tunes back in the day. Baby Come On Over is still my catch. And as Dancing On Ice is a huuuge ratings puller, this could be the career stimulation she needs right now to get back on top. The singer also celebrates her 25th birthday next week Friday.

Having spent her break back home in Barbados, Rihanna found herself back in the US gorging once again on her many shopping sprees. This time she was spotted in Beverly Hills at Fred Seagals looking at shoes:



Every time there's a big event coming up, you always see this fashionista shopping in advance with her personal assistant friend Melissa in tow. With the Grammy Awards coming up in another month I look forwards to seeing her kill that red carpet one mo time. She'll also be putting the nail on her Good Girl Gone Bad album when she closes it off with 5th single 'Breakin' Dishes'. The music video shoot has been prepared with Chris Applebaum on the director's seat.
