USHER PERFORMS ON 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE'....

Usher performed two of his new songs on Saturday Night Live last night. He performed his latest smash hit Love In This Club (below) and This Aint Sex. Check them out right here:

His performance of Love In This Club was hot. The female dancers did their thing. It was smooth and sexy. And the choreography at the end was mad neat. Usher made it look completely effortless. Ugh. I hate that Usher is a cocky bastard but yet he knows his cockiness can be validated. His performance of This Aint Sex is after the cut.

MARY J BLIGE PERFORMS 'STAY DOWN' ON OPRAH....

Mary J. Blige performed her latest single 'Stay Down,' off her latest album Growing Pains, on The Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday. Oprah couldn't stress enough how Growing Pains is one of her favorite albums of the summer (although it was released last winter). Check it out:

The song has always been a favourite of mine from the Growing Pains CD so I've always looked forward to seeing her perform this live. And she didn't disappoint. Her vocal delivery towards the end just punches you in the face. Raw emotion at its finest. Shame about the video though. But other than that, what is there not to love?

DANITY KANE PERFORM ON 'PEPSI SMASH'....

Danity Kane performed a couple of their songs on Yahoo's Pepsi Smash this week. They performed their latest single Damaged and Poetry from their newest album Welcome To The Dollhouse as well as their debut single Showstopper.

Why didn't they perform Bad Girl? As it's their next single, I would think they'd want to promote it. They stay performing the same tired ass songs. Courtesy of YouTube, performances are under the fold.

REALITY TV PERFORMANCES: FANTASIA PERFORMS 'BORE ME (YAWN)' ON AMERICAN IDOL // OMARION PERFORMS MJ'S 'THRILLER' ON DANCING WITH THE STARS....

Last night on the American Idol Results show, Fantasia Barrino performed 'Bore Me (Yawn)'. She showed off a new flaming red hairdo:

The performance was, um, crazy. Fun, but utterly crazy. I certainly wasn't yawning, and neither did it bore me. She didn't sound that nice at all. But hey, at least she no longer has to worry about being judged. Did ya'll catch Simon's facial expression at mark 2:55. Hilarious!

On the results show of Dancing With The Stars, Tuesday night, R&B singer Omarion performed Michael Jackson's Thriller:

Performance was hot. I absolutely loved it. You always hear about Chris Brown and Usher being the hottest male dancers in music right now, but I think O is highly underrated.

Speaking of Chris, ya'll remember when he tributed MJ with his Thriller performance at the World Music Awards in London back in 06?:

Who owned that performance?

NELLY & KELLY ROWLAND PERFORM @ RADIO 1'S BIG WEEKEND....

Nelly & Kelly Rowland performed their previous smash hit Dilemma at day 2 of Radio 1's Big Weekend yesterday. Kelly actually appeared as a special guest. Check out their performance below:

Great performance. Nelly may have forgotten his words but it didn't really show, and their chemistry on stage was tight. Kelly has been doing her thing in London over the last couple of weeks. The singer also performed her Top 10 UK hit, Daylight at BBC Sound over the weekend. You can check out that performance after the cut.

USHER'S MINI CONCERT @ RADIO 1'S BIG WEEKEND....

Yesterday, Usher performed a mini concert at Day 1 of Radio 1's Big Weekend, where he co-headlined with Madonna. He performed previous hit singles as well as new music from his forthcoming album Here I Stand (May 27th). The video (posted after the cut) displays the full concert or alternatively, click here. Check out my review of the show:

UPDATE: Having watched the concert, I thought it was very entertaining. I have his 8701: The Evolution concert on DVD which was awesome and this time, the Tennessee Native didn't disappoint. So he may have been 22 back then, but even now, Usher still has it despite his maturing years (the singer turns 30 in October). Usher sang live, to the company of his backing singers, who also did the business. The concert started off a little slow with opening number This Aint Sex, but things started picking up when he began singing tunes that the audience were more familiar with such as
You Make Me Wanna, You Remind Me and You Don't Have To Call. In fact, his well-known hits is what kept the audience in sync as they started singing along with the songs. I liked Usher's interaction with the audience; speaking to them as he went along and introducing the songs. It made the show more fun, more intimate. His smooth acrobatic dance routines throughout the show only reinforced the true entertainer Usher really is because it didn't affect his vocal performance. Despite all of the dance activity that was going on, Usher still managed to sound just as good as the CD versions, pouring out his emotions during his chilled out moments. He then belted out his second single Moving Mountains as well as Confessions parts I & II, You Got It Bad, Burn, Here I Stand, What's Ya Name?, Yeah and latest hit single Love In This Club.

RYAN LESLIE'S REHEARSAL PERFORMANCE OF 'IRINA'....

Ryan Leslie has posted footage of his rehearsal performance for 'Irina' on his YouTube channel. Check it out:

Irina, which sounds pretty good, is another joint from his forthcoming self-titled album (out on June 10th). Here's his explanation of the track: "Irina is about that person, whomever it may be in your life. Someone that made you feel like you were worth something again. It could be anyone. The song's not sexual. The word 'love' doesn't appear once. It's about the feeling you get when you know you're making someone happy by just being yourself."

Ryan also performed his new single 'Diamond Girl' at the R&B Live showcase at Spotlight Live in New York City on April 22nd. Only now the performance has surfaced:

Great performance. I look forwards to hearing the new album, although I'm not seeing much buzz surrounding the project.

MARY J BLIGE PERFORMS ON 'TODAY'....

Yesterday, Mary J. Blige performed on the 'Today' show. The performances took place at the Rockefeller Center Plaza in New York City. Check out her performance of Stay Down from her new album Growing Pains:

The performances were static. Mary was totally feeling it. I was liking the lil switch up in her Just Fine performances towards the end. The singer also spoke with host Matt Lauer about her completed tour with Jay-Z and wanting others to develop their inner beauty. You can catch her other performances of 'Real Love' and 'Just Fine' after the cut.

LYFE JENNINGS PERFORMS ON 'JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!'....

On Tuesday, Lyfe Jennings performed his latest single 'Never Never Land' on Jimmy Kimmel Live!:

Lyfe's new album Lyfe Change did really well on the Billboard charts securing a No 4 position with sales in excess of 76,332 copies. And he didn't get much promotion either. So kudos to him. His album on the other half, didn't really impress me. Meanwhile, check out his interview after the cut.

MARIO IS ELIMINATED FROM 'DANCING WITH THE STARS'....

R&B singer Mario was sent home last night in a surprising elimination from Dancing With the Stars. Mario and partner Karina Smirnoff scored 53 out of 60 points for their Viennese waltz and Jive Monday night. Check it out:

WEEK 8 PART TWO.

It was a good performance but not good enough to keep him in. I thought he was going to win but still, at 8 weeks he had a good run. The 21-year-old was the youngest contestant ever on the show. Below are all of his weekly performances since being on the show if you didn't catch them.

ALICIA KEYS PERFORMS ON ELLEN....

Earlier today, Alicia Keys performed her latest single Teenage Love Affair on The Ellen Degeneres show. Check out the performance:

Cute performance. It also looks like she's adding on the pounds. Black is suppose to be the ultimate trimmer but she was looking a lot more voluptuous than usual. She still rocks though.

PERFORMANCES: ESTELLE & JOHN LEGEND PERFORM ON ELLEN // ESTELLE'S ALBUM 'SHINE' IS A U.S. FLOP // KELLY ROWLAND PERFORMS ON LE GRAND JOURNAL....

Estelle performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday alongside John Legend. She performed 'Come Over' and her latest single 'American Boy':

So far so good. Too bad that her album 'Shine' is a certified flop in the US. Estelle may have been promoting like crazy, but the Americans just don't give a rats ass do they? Selling only 14,800 copies first week, Estelle's US career seems to have stalled. I guess this means she'll only be catering to her Native UK where her success really lies.

Yesterday, Kelly Rowland has taken her latest Ms Kelly promotion to France, where she performed 'Work' at Le Grand Journal:

It was okay. The performance that is. Hate that Freemasons remix with a passion. I don't really value their work, which is why I hope Beyonce's new album isn't too congested with their production.

ASHANTI PERFORMS @ KSFM 102.5 '5CO DE MAYO' FESTIVAL....

Over the weekend, Ashanti performed her latest hit single 'The Way That I Love You' at the KSFM 102.5 '5co De Mayo' Festival in Sacramento, California:

She also performed a couple of her biggest hit records to date. She sounded a hot mess to me, but proceed at your own will. It's a shame she'll often make it a habit of butchering such a hot song on stage.

DANITY KANE PERFORM @ SIX FLAGS....

Yesterday, Danity Kane performed at Six Flags in New Jersey, as part of Six Flags' Coca Cola Concert Series. They recorded tracks from their latest album Welcome To The Dollhouse. Check out their performance of Damaged:

It seems that with Girlicious and the Pussycat Dolls hot on their trail, this is the year of the girl power movement. And judging by these performances I don't think DK have anything to worry about. They sounded really REALLY good. They did the damn thang on Poetry. This HAS to be a future single (it should have been second choice, in my opinion, although Bad Girl is hot as well). Poetry and Right Now are after the fold.

Last night, Queen of Pop Madonna played a small gig for 2,200 of her fans in New York's Roseland Ballroom. She performed a couple of songs from her latest new album Hard Candy. Check out her electric performance of 4 minutes with Justin Timberlake:

At 50, Madonna still knows how to put on one hell of a show. I actually enjoyed her performances for the most part but nothing in the world can still make me listen to that damn album. I think I will now. Her other performances are enclosed after the fold.
