She looked nice and sweet, but all that sweetness that Janet has is now contaminated with Khia's sour juice. Apparently, the crazy rapper has written a scathing blog entry in like the 50th attack towards Ms Jackson and her beau. It seems she can't get over the video fiasco for Janet's 'So Excited'. For those still living in the dark ages, Khia is upset because they edited her cameo appearance on a poxy TV. She thought she was going to make a FULL appearance in the video. As a result, she sees it as getting stabbed in the back. You can read Khia's crazy attack on Janet after the cut. And someone tell her ghetto musty ass to go take English classes (or hire a proof reader) because the main importance of getting your message across is presentation. Poor grammar will only permit folks not to read your shit past the first sentence, toss it aside and not take you seriously. But then again, who takes Khia seriously as an artist? This mess is waaaaay beyond old. Two years and counting. What a sad and pathetic person. Get over it already. Bitch.

MTV GIVES JANET HER OWN SHOW....
MTV and Janet Jackson have further put their rift behind them by hooking up for a new Making The Band type reality show. Casting for the show has already begun which involves Janet mentoring a group of aspiring singers and dancers. Reportedly, the project will be shot in the coming months as the 42-year-old prepares for her world tour, which launches on Sept. 10. They're also thinking about affiliating Janet's tour with the show.
"It's really about finding who's the next Janet Jackson or Justin Timberlake or Usher," said exec producer Dave Broome. "And we'll find it from a pool of people who you wouldn't typically find it from. We'll go to YMCAs, church groups, local community centers and try to cast the show". Sounds great because they're not looking for just a singer but an overall entertainer which is what Janet, Justin and Usher represent. And as I'm a reality show geek, I'm all for it. With her issues with her label Def Jam, I'm glad the future is looking up for her. In other news, Janet has also disputed claims about not touring Europe. She says: "I want to let you know that any rumors that you've heard of me not taking the Rock Witchu Tour to Europe and other places - it's false. This is a world tour, so we plan on hitting all of those spots. Don't believe everything you read". Awesome.

For their third annual celebration of Love Day, Cartier, the French jeweler has partnered with eight musically gifted celebrities and Janet Jackson was one of those celebrities:
Janet looked really trendy that night. Other R&B singers who attended included Ashanti and Fergie. Each celebrity is linked to the charity of his or her choice, and for each sale of a Love Charity bracelet, a portion goes to the charity. The bracelets are made of silk cord with a gold fob and each color corresponds to the particular cause. Janet's gunmetal bracelet is for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.
Fergie, who was one of the chosen eight put in an appearance at the prestigious event:

JANET JACKSON PRETTY MUCH CONFIRMS THAT 'DISCIPLINE' IS NOW DEAD [SHE BLAMES THE RECORD LABEL]....
Janet Jackson has officially confirmed to SOHH that latest album Discipline has met its timely end all because there were dispute regarding the single choices and as a result, Island Def Jam halted ALL promotion for the project.
When asked about what the next single would be, Janet's reply was: "That's pretty difficult to say, only because of the record label at this point. We started off with 'Feedback' and the label and myself haven't quite seen eye to eye since the Feedback single so they've kind of basically stopped all promotion. I'm trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album so I dont think you're going to hear another single off this album". Say what? In a way, this isn't much of a shock. Feedback, which was the hottest dance record of 2008, was not promoted correctly and they waited until the LAST MINUTE to get the ball rolling with her project (Mariah's promotion was well in advance and Rihanna gets grade A promo over there as well, although she's more of a singles artist but as Janet has encountered several flops over the years, the label felt it was fitting not to take any chances. Whereas, with Mariah's last album The Emancipation doing fantastically well, they went where they thought the money was). I am pissed that 2Nite will never get released as a single. I was soooo rooting for that song to see a release. So Discipline is now dead and butied forreal, forreal. No shocker at all. Janet also spoke about her forthcoming 'Rock Witchu' tour which she's excited about, as well as what to expect from it. Janet also didn't promote the new record in Europe. She's very apologetic about that and once again, blames the label that her European fans missed out. At this point in time, Janet's musical career hangs in the balance but as to what her next move will be after the tour, we'll just have to wait and see. Very intensifying.

MEL B CONFIRMS JANET JACKSON COLLABORATION....
I previously reported how Spice Girl Mel B was working on a brand new R&B album, and one of the producers confirmed is Rodney DARKCHILD Jerkins. Mel has also confirmed that on the new project, she'll be working with:
JANET JACKSON! The singer has had two failed solo attempts but has vowed not to give up just yet: "I not scared of having another try. I am working with the best producers ever. I am now ten tracks in to my new record. I am doing something with Janet Jackson which should be amazing. I am also going to hook up with Missy again". Mel worked with Missy back in 98 on her UK no 1 hit I Want You Back. I was a huuuge Spice Girl fan back in the day. During high school, I lived for Girl Power and Mel B was my favourite Spice Girl. I even bought her first solo album 'Hot' which was surprisingly, a very good album! If you guys haven't listened to it you should! My only problem was that her Leeds accent is sooooo dialectally common that her vocals sounded a lil out of place on some of the tracks. But I can't wait to see how this all pans out.

Janet Jackson did more promo for her forthcoming 'Rock Witchu' tour and her latest stop was MTV's TRL:
Interview was cool. A lot funnier than her '106' interview. The last movie she saw was Iron Man (glad I'm not the only who isn't caught up in the 'Sex In The City' hype). She almost got cast as Storm in X-Men. And she wants YOUR suggestions as to who should be her Support act on tour (well, not really, but still, that would be awesome :p ). LMAO @ someone saying 'Sisqo'. Can we get some serious answers please? My no 1 choice would have to be Ciara but it won't be happening because Ciara will be too busy promoting her new album 'Fantasy Ride' which drops in September - the same time Janet's tour kicks off.

Ashanti was on her promotional stops this week. The promo for new album 'The Declaration' continued on yesterday when she signed copies of the new album at the Virgin Mega store in Times Square, New York City:
Ashanti also did an instore performance as well. I've been soooo mad at myself for being so tempted to buy her new album. I'm totally loving it right now. But that white outfit is all kinds of wrong.

It has also been brought to light that Ashanti is considering ditching her music career to become a full time actress. Um, well, I can't see much people pining over this decision. As hot as some of her music may be, many eardrums will be saved from getting bust and besides, her music is only something that Beyonce would make 10 times hotter. Just imagine if Beyonce was given some of her latest beats.

Today's airing of The Ellen Degeneres Show sees Janet Jackson sit down for an exclusive interview as well as perform her new song Luv and throwback classic Rhythm Nation. Here's her performance of Luv:
That Luv performance sucked donkey balls. I am tired of the same derivative arm movements. I'm sure she could have come up with a better choreography than that. At least she was dressed correctly for her Rhythm Nation performance which you can watch after the cut as well as the actual interview. The special announcement was like, WOW! As if we didn't know she was going on tour. I thought she was going to say her and JD got married or that there was going to be a Scream pt2 with brother Michael. Something REALLY big. Oh well. Janet Jackson attended the Alexander McQueen Boutique opening in Los Angeles, last night. The singer showed up wearing a Japanese Kimono inspired gown, which coincidently contained the colours of her Def Jam label mate Mariah's latest album E=MC²:
The audacious dress that Janet wore is an actual Alexander McQueen creation. However, I don't think the look quite works on Janet. The sleeves are waaaay too flowy and long and it just didn't look right. Janet has also been locked in rehearsals for her forthcoming Discipline tour which will kick off this coming September.
Last night, Beyonce was spotted leaving Madison Square Garden after watching Kanye West's show. The singer tried to get with the summer blues with her neon yellow nails and Girl Scout-inspired green outfit:
She looked a hot mess, but then, this is Beyonce we're talking about. Still, the singer was all smiles. I guess the high-waisted skirt will further fuel the rumours that she's expecting her first baby. Kelly Rowland has meanwhile denied that Beyonce is preggers but her father won't deny or confirm. Chris has really let himself go. And he really needs to sort out his lil skin problem. I know he must be thrilled to bits that he's sleeping with Rihanna so as a result, I assumed that it would have given him more reason to keep himself neat and well groomed. His appearance in the past was never so ragged. He was always fresh from a sharp haircut and he always looked clean and well put together. He use to care. Now it's like, he doesn't care at all.
