Kelis and her rapper husband Nas were spotted leaving Katsuya restaurant in Hollywood last night. They looked all doom and gloom, and contrary to internet rumours that their marriage is in trouble, it appears they may have only had a lovers tiff:
Well, I hope it was just that - a silly lovers tiff. Every healthy marriage goes through one every now and then. They're the best EVER couple in Hip Hop and R&B right now. They're not boring and their chemistry in the early days was just toxic. I'd hate to see them separate.

Chris will be in the video because, well, he heavily features on the song and it's an equal collaboration. I see Rih-Rih decided to join her man on the set to keep everything in order or possibly to stop Chris's eyes wandering elsewhere. Let's put it this way, Jordin is really pretty and they're the same age. Anything goes right? RIGHT.

As well as a new album in the making, Christina has snagged herself a new movie role which includes Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner. The movie in question is called "The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" and it's a romantic comedy. The movie is about a bachelor who is haunted by the ghosts of his past girlfriends at his younger brother's wedding and the movie is scheduled to be released in Feb 2009. Thanks for the news Rap-Up.

Yesterday, sexy R&B songstress Ashanti was spotted on the set of her music video for new single The Way That I Love U in Los Angeles. The video will be directed by Kevin Gray, who has previously directed video's for other R&B pop diva's such as Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston and Jennifer Lopez. She looked nice in a silver faux-pearl inspired dress that glimmered with each movement. Her long wavy tresses stood out with the newly added blonde streaks. The Way That I Love U is the first debut single from upcoming album The Declaration which is scheduled to drop June 23rd. Overall, she was looking a million dollars. Reportedly, the video will premiere within the next two weeks.
Brace yourselves for the ultimate Rihanna frenzy because it's been a never-ending one this week. And with the big Grammy event taking place this Sunday, a lot of different events were held in its honour. I hate the mushroom. Aaaaagh! Reportedly, after being dropped from Jive records due to her last album Kelis Was Here underperforming, she is currently recording an independent dance album with Cee-Lo Green. It could also see collaborations from KeyBeats, Chocolate Factory and Scottish electronic producer Calvin Harris. Not sure about the pop route though. I however loved Kelis for her unique musical style because it was like nobody else's. Her last album was pretty solid but it wasn't marketed right.
