DONNIE KLANG: DR LOVE [NEW SONG]....

More new music has surfaced from Donnie's forthcoming album Come Into My World. The song 'Dr. Love' leaked but only a snippet was available. Now you can hear the track in full:

DONNIE KLANG: DR. LOVE

The Seven-produced cut has a rectro-pop vibe reminiscent to the SexyBack stylings of Justin Timberlake. I'm on the fence with Donnie and the material that has leaked so far. I don't even think he knows what type of artist he wants to be right now. To me he's coming across as a poor man's JT in fact. Not content with approaching a similar musical style Donnie has even snagged JT's ex Britney Spears for a song called 'Celebrity Love'. This was confirmed at Club Bed where Donnie stayed partying it up recently, and they also played the track there as well. You can check out the footage after the cut.

NEW MUSIC FAB: TEAIRRA MARI, DONNIE KLANG, LLOYD & KARINA PASIAN....

Teairra Mari is gearing up to release her sophomore album which will be distributed via Interscope this summer. U Said is a new track expected to make the cut; and this is what we can expect from it:

TEAIRRA MARI: U SAID

This song is soooo late 90's and I'm loving it. The oldskool beat, the vocals, everything about it is hot. I am totally feeling Teairra Mari right now. She's pretty and has nice vocals and the music is sounding really good. Even though I think she's totally underrated I'm not really sure where her place lies in the music industry or if she'll survive it. The industry has changed so much since she was last on the scene.

A brand new track from Donnie's Klang's forthcoming album leaked yesterday called Rolling Stone. The Bad Boy recording artist is set to release his debut album, Come into My World this summer (reportedly June 10th but that looks unlikely). Check out the song:

DONNIE KLANG: ROLLING STONE

Rolling Stone is produced by Se7en. The radio-friendly joint is a mid-tempo R&B song with a nice beat accompanied by contrasting vocals, heavily synthesized by a vocoder. He doesn't have a good voice and something about him is lacking which doesn't put him in the same bar as Justin Timberlake or Robin Thicke. His vocal delivery is often nasal so it's just as well the vocoder was placed over it. I'm liking this song a lot better than that wack first single Take You There. The musical arrangement and overall production is very solid. That, I can admit. Donnie is the last of his MTB4 counterparts to release an album. And with Danity Kane and Day26 getting to no 1, the pressure is truly on. I'm not seeing much buzz surrounding his project though. In time, maybe things will pick up.

Project Window is a brand new cut taken from Lloyd's forthcoming third solo album, Lessons in Love. Check it out:

LLOYD: PROJECT WINDOW

I'm not really feeling this Lloyd joint. It sounds incomplete and it's totally forgettable. Nothing about the song screams out at you, and the lyrics are a mess. His last album Street Love was the business but I haven't been feeling the new music from him this time round. His new video which features Ludacris premiered over the weekend. If you didn't catch it, click here.

A track from Karina Pasian's forthcoming album First Love goes by the name of Baby Baby and it features Lil Mama. Check it out:

KARINA PASIAN FEAT LIL MAMA: BABY BABY

Karina has yet to disappoint me and she's impressing me more and more. This catchy uptempo track is fierce. It's streetwise, modern R&B at best. Lil Mama certainly delivers on the track and it works really well. I've loved all her material so far and I anticipate her album loads. I really hope Def Jam don't screw her over because at just 16, the girl is just mad talented. She debuted her first video 16 At War over the weekend. Click here to watch it. I'm not really seeing the Alicia Keys comparisons though. Their style and music is completely different. Alicia isn't the first female artist to play the piano and she certainly won't be the last.

DONNIE WANTS A SPANKING....

Produced by Seven, Spank Me is yet another cut that will appear on Donnie's upcoming album which is now tentatively titled Come Into My World. Check out this lil snippet of the track:

DONNIE: SPANK ME [SNIPPET]

Quality is not that great but it's clear enough to get an overall idea as to what it sounds like. Anyone who gave this song the go ahead needs a right spanking across the ankles. It has a rectro sound but doesn't really stand out. In fact, it reminds me of a badly duplicated Backstreet Boys throwback. Lyrics are just cheesy and straight predictable. Time to go back to the drawing board yet again for the upcoming Bad Boy artist.

CELEB SPOTTINGS: R&B SINGERS OUT & ABOUT....

Rihanna took her raunchy Good Girl Gone Bad tour to Moscow on March 23th. Here is the sexy Umbrella singer dressed up in patent leather at her show:

I'd like to know who makes her outfits. I've been curious about this for quite some time now. In other news, Irish singer Sinead 'O Conner could be on course to pen Rihanna's next hit. The singer admits: They want to send me some backing tracks that they've already put together so that'll be a great help...But I've been studying her and I feel daunted actually by it because I don't know how to write pop songs, no matter how hard I try I cannot write a pop song you know... So it's a challenge but I have to do it coz my son is in love with her!" [SOURCE] And who isn't these days? Even if you hate her, there's something about Riri which is quite intriguing.

During her stop in Europe, on that same day, Rihanna paid a visit to Europa Plus Radio Station in Moscow on March 23:

Rihanna will re-release her album Good Girl Gone Bad on May 27th.

Day 26 had their album release party at Room Service in New York City last night. Their MTB4 jump-off Donnie also attended as well as 106 & Park host Terence:

OK, these pictures did it. Neither of them make me .... thirsty. They're probably the least attractive group to come out in recent years, lol. Terence on the other hand.... Anyway, their self-titled album went on sale today. With Sunday's finale, I'm expecting them to do decently in first week sales. My guess is somewhere around 200k which would be pretty good considering the fact that they're newcomers.

Last night, Mariah Carey performed "Touch My Body" and "We Belong Together" at the after party, for the premiere of The Hills which aired live from New York City:

CLICK HERE to watch both performances. You can tell Mariah was working out loads because her body hasn't looked this good in ages, and she just seemed really happy.

Chris Brown (as we already know) was in London over the weekend. He was actually in the UK to promote latest album Exclusive and did two sell-out gigs over here. Here he was at his London gig, just before he was spotted leaving a hotel and partying the night away at Maya nightclub with his gal pal Rihanna (or so they say):

He's no doubt a cutie but he is in the Shemar Moore club. A hottie but by default, his teeth are a letdown. Nothing that braces can't sort out right? Hopefully, in time, he'll get those fixed.

Beyonce was spotted in the audience cheering on her boyfriend Jay-Z at his joint 'Heart of the City' tour with Mary J Blige:

Supposedly, she arrived in L.A. (Sunday) to work with some producers for her new album but also attended the tour when it hit on Saturday night.

Tiffany Evans attended the Project Sunshine 'Beauty and the Beat' event at the Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital on Friday in New York City:

The talented 15-year-old was doing her bit for the community. Her debut album is due on April 22nd.

PERFORMANCES: DANITY KANE, DAY 26 & DONNIE [MAKING THE BAND 4 FINALE]....

Danity Kane, Day 26 and Donnie all performed at the Making The Band 4 Season 2 finale this past weekend. All three acts performed their latest new singles. Danity Kane performed Damaged whilst Day 26 performed latest single Got Me Going and Donnie performed his upcoming single Take You There. Check out Danity Kane's performance:

Their performance was great. I loved it. Their stage charisma was faultless and they really connected as a group. They put on their sexual prowess and gave it their all. Aubrey's outfit got a massive big fat 'WTF' from me. She always got to be 'different' from everybody else. Day 26 did good. I felt they were trying a little too hard at times but they put on a great performance. As a group they have shown us that they have major potential. I hope Diddy doesn't mess them up on the real. I'd really love to see them thrive and do well. After all, it doesn't look as if Dru Hill will be returning to the scene anytime soon, lol. As for Donnie, I thought his performance was lacking, and overall corny. Vocally, he wasn't up to par and his performance showed no star quality whatsoever. He's coming across as one of those pretty white boys who got signed just for the sake of being signed because of his 'look', almost equivalent to the male Britney Spears. Difference is, at least Brit knew how to sell herself and entertain an audience. Donnie, not so much. And he's going to need a lot more than that to get ahead in the game otherwise he's in trouble. The show was a heavy promo wheel for their albums, singles, Making The Band tour AND the next new season of Making The Band. Diddy just isn't going to stop but you got to give it to someone who knows how to hustle. Check out Day 26 and Donnie's performance after the cut.

DONNIE: TAKE YOU THERE [NEW SINGLE]....

Making The Band 4 has finally come to an end and all the acts that participated (Day 26, Danity Kane and Donnie) are now left to pursue their musical careers away from the show. Danity Kane are already established platinum-selling artists. Day 26 have yet to prove themselves (their album gets released tomorrow) and well, what's left of the MTB roster is solo act Donnie, who will have an album out this summer. Take You There is the lead single from his upcoming album and it features his mentor Diddy:

The song has a trance/electronic-like R&B fusion attached to it and I think it would work quite well with pop radio. It appears they're channeling Justin Timberlake with the electronic beats (yes it does remind me of Sexyback) and hoping it would catapult him into Timberlake territory and not Robin Thicke territory. It's definitely a grower but I'm unsure as to what direction they have planned for Donnie especially with his MTB counterparts having cemented their sound. As for JT, we really don't need a poor man's knock-off. Still, I'm really curious as to what he (and Diddy) have cooked up for this project. He may just take us there and surprise us.

CELEB SPOTTINGS: R&B SINGERS OUT & ABOUT....

On March 23rd, Beyonce and her cousin/assistant Angela Beyince was spotted arriving at a private airport in Los Angeles, California:

When she's not too busy ignoring her young fans who wait for HOURS just to meet her, she stays playing cat and mouse with the paparazzi instead. I am quite baffled as to where this new-found hiding of her face comes from all of a sudden. I thought that was Jessica Alba's style.

Rihanna and Chris Brown have further fuelled rumours they are dating after they were photographed leaving a London hotel. On Saturday morning, the two were spotted leaving a London hotel before making their way to nightspot Maya.

According to onlookers, they left the club together at 3am (GMT). I think this pairing goes beyond fuelled rumours. They're dating but won't admit to it. BOTH of them have declared their single-status recently but it looks pretty bad that they're lying through their teeth to the media when they are seen leaving hotels in the early hours TOGETHER. If they told the truth, maybe they'd stop being grilled cos really, they are making themselves look like attention whores.

Over the weekend, the finale season for Making The Band 4 went down in New York City. The event was hosted by MTV VJ Sway. All the stars of the show were of course at the taping such as Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie who all performed. Of course Diddy was there since he's the founder of everything and he brought along his cute lil twin daughters D'Lila Star and Jessie James. Check out these pics of the action that took place:

Aw! His twins are absolutely adorable. They're looking a lot like Diddy especially in the mouth area. I also see a likeness to their brother Justin. I guess Diddy had to try and take the limelight away from his ex Jenny Lo Lo and HER twins.

Danity Kane, Day 26 and Donnie:

So those two are really together. Interesting. I still have not got round to listening to that Day 26 album. I've been too busy. I have an extremely important exam on Friday so I've been preparing for that and other stuff which would explain why updates have been rather slow. I am hoping to get the review up this week. Stay tuned on that.

On March 22nd, Veteran Mary J. Blige kicked off her explosive joint 'Heart of the City' tour with Veteran rapper Jay-Z. The tour took place in Miami's American Airlines Arena:

Pal Kanye West attended the tour among many others. I know few of you Toya's World readers have attended or will be attending this. If you want to write a full on review that you'd like to publish on here, feel free to let me know. After all, there's no doubt that the gig tickets were one of the must-have tickets in town, providing Ebay/Craig's List floggers to make a nice little tidy profit. Two massive music giants at the top of their game doing a tour together is pretty compelling. Then again, Jay-Z went on a joint tour with another R&B veteran a couple of years ago and we all know how that ended, lol. As long as nothing allows Mary's wig to furiously run itself into the ground, good things are set to come from this I think. Let's just pray things don't end badly. Needing to add, it's been 5 months since Mary released her lead single Just Fine off her platinum-selling album Growing Pains (to date it has sold 1.4 million) and yet they are struggling to put out a 2nd single. Work That was believed to be the 2nd single but got ditched at the last minute. Mary's people also put up a poll on her official site asking fans to vote for her second single. Come To Me received the most votes but the song never released. Instead it was used for promotional purposes. There was also a press release announcing that Hurt Again was the new single and again, that changed. Stay Down is the now the official second single but I wouldn't even be surprised if that got changed. We just love it when an artist plays bamboozle with their fans.

On Friday (March 21th), Mariah Carey and best friend Da Brat was spotted at Villa Nightclub in Los Angeles, California:

Mariah was looking really hot. Her latest single Touch My Body, has just become available for download today. Although I am still not all that excited about the song, it would be pretty cool if she got her 18th no 1. Maybe that would be the boost needed for her to be on her A-game again. Her mediocrity as of late hasn't really been impacting. Still, I can't wait for her new album E=MC² which will be released in little over 3 weeks. The clock is ticking.

A host of R&B stars performed at HOT 97 Full Frontal Hip Hop Fashion Show in New York City over the weekend. Starting with Cheri Dennis:

Po Cherry. She certainly not getting any love from Diddy or his Bad Boy cheques. I've seen homeless folk look better. Shame shame shame, because she's probably the most talented artist on that label.

Mario also performed:

Look forwards to see his next performance on Dancing With The Stars. He was working it and I'm sure he was working that stage as well.

Keyshia Cole performed there too:

She's been looking much better as of late. As long as she sticks to the black hair, she can't do no wrong in my book.

Omarion and Bow Wow performed at the Six Flags Magic Mountain Presents Power 106 Concert on March 20th, in Valencia:

Can their sexual chemistry get any more blatant?

Spice Girl Melanie Brown was also spotted chatting away on her cell and buying Cappuccino in Los Angeles, California:

Looking good as usual.

Queen of the candids herself Christina Milian was spotted shopping and driving around Los Angeles, California:

Forever looking beautiful and cute but we're still waiting on that new album....

DONNIE: SO BEAUTIFUL [SNIPPET OF NEW SONG!]....

It's not a coincidence that ALL three parties participating in a reality show later this month (Danity Kane and MTB4 being the other two participants) have now had new music to leak this past weekend. Now a new track from Donnie has made the rounds. Donnie, destined to become the latest new blue-eyed soul sensation is hitting it dead on with the production on So Beautiful. The joint is hot. The production and the overall arrangement on this track is fiercely compelling. And it doesn't hurt that (with the right promotion) there's an actual market for your Justin Timberlakes, Jon B's, Robin Thickes and so forth. Right now it's sounding like Donnie has that slight more edge than the others. I can't wait to see how this whole episode unfolds between all three Bad Boy acts. CHECK IT OUT!
