Earlier this week, Amerie attended and co-hosted a party in Atlanta with the NFL's Deon Grant:
The singer performed throughout the night and chilled with Chilli of TLC fame and her new label mate Ne-yo. Now that Amerie is officially signed to Def Jam I expect to see a lot of her and Ne-yo at the same events in the coming months. Amerie is also using Atlanta as her main base for recording her new album I'm told, with producers such as Bryan Micheal Cox, Adonis, Wyldcard as well as Ne-yo. She also did some new work with producer No ID some weeks back.

R&B beauties Alicia Keys and Letoya Luckett attended the third annual Michael Strahan/Dreier LLP Charity Golf Tournament yesterday:
The event, which benefits Children’s Rights and Keep a Child Alive began with an Alicia Keys concert at Tao and concludes with a golf outing at Century Country Club in Purchase later today. I am loving Letoya's floral dress.

Alicia has also revealed that she plans to retire her music career at 30 because she wants to spend the rest of her life travelling the world: The star often finds herself exasperated by the pressures of fame and in 2006 she took a break from music and travelled to Egypt to recuperate. And the Fallin' hitmaker insists that she hopes to be able to bow out of the entertainment industry in the next few years, so she can start enjoying her time. She says, "I am working hard now so I have the choice to retire when I want. I would like to travel the world and stay in places instead of having to move on like I do now. I want to experience difference cultures".

Rihanna and Chris Brown continued to publicly display their relationship by going shopping for food grocery in West Hollywood yesterday afternoon:

Yesterday, Christina Milian attended 'A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival' which was sponsored by Disney benefiting the Elizabeth Glaser Pedatric AIDS Foundation in Los Angeles:
Christina looked cute in her lil casual outfit. It's really sad that the only thing I can say about this chick is that "she looks cute" instead of reporting that she's hard at work on this and this. What on earth has happened to her Eight Days A Week SITCOM? Wasn't it due to air in May or something? Where's that album? C'mon Chris, being cute alone just don't cut it!

The parade drew around 400,000 spectators. It rallied the people together as they came outdoors in a great show of support for the lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders.

Mel B is also on course to become the new X Factor judge. She is currently in negotiation and has beat off stiff competition from two other British singers - Charlotte Church and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole. It was officially announced this week that Sharon Osbourne has quit The X Factor. Sharon will not be returning to the show that launched Leona Lewis into the International superstar that she is today. Sharon absolutely hates the new judge Danni Minogue because she sees Danni as a threat and believes Danni only got the job because of her looks and not because of her contribution towards the music industry. It's also believed that Sharon's departure could all be down to the two judges not getting along as well.

This is not the first time Mel has taken shots at another baby daddy of hers. In a vicious attack towards her ex-hubby Jimmy Gulzar (father of her 9-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi) she criticizes him on her previous top 5 single 'Tell Me': "Now I see you didn't have no self esteem. And all you loved was Mel B's money". Mel's album due out this autumn, also features a new duet with Baby Spice Emma Bunton and reportedly, Janet Jackson.

Ashanti was on her promotional stops this week. The promo for new album 'The Declaration' continued on yesterday when she signed copies of the new album at the Virgin Mega store in Times Square, New York City:
Ashanti also did an instore performance as well. I've been soooo mad at myself for being so tempted to buy her new album. I'm totally loving it right now. But that white outfit is all kinds of wrong.
The singer also attended a Handprint Ceremony which took place at Planet Hollywood in New York City:
.... she also paid a visit to MTV's TRL. She looked really pretty and her weave is ON POINT, which is something that doesn't happen that much these days. It has also been brought to light that Ashanti is considering ditching her music career to become a full time actress. Um, well, I can't see much people pining over this decision. As hot as some of her music may be, many eardrums will be saved from getting bust and besides, her music is only something that Beyonce would make 10 times hotter. Just imagine if Beyonce was given some of her latest beats.

She can wear a bin bag and would still put on one hell of a show. Alicia has been nominated for a Much Music Video Award in the category of Best International Video for 'No One'. Congratulations Alicia. The awards take place on June 15th.
