It seems MTV have forgiven Britney Spears for her disastrous performance at the VMA's little under a year ago. Apparently, she has once again teamed up with the MTV Video Music Awards by shooting a promo for the September 7th show with host Russell Brand:
It's been noted this week that singer Keri Hilson is one of the songwriters working on the forthcoming new Britney Spears album. She has characterized working with Britney as being "completely normal" during a conversation with Extra backstage at F'N MTV this week.
Last night, a glowing Britney Spears attended the Generation Rescues Fundraiser Event in Hollywood, California. This marks her very first appearance at a social event in quiet a while:
Is this the best Britney has looked in two years? I say hell yeah. The chick is trying. I think she looks fab. Though, her stylist could have done a much better job of blending in her real hair with the weave as you can see where her real hair stops. That shouldn't be the case at all because it defies ALL purpose of rocking a weave, or in white talk, extensions, lol. For someone who decided to stop fighting for custody of her two young sons, she seems relaxed and at ease with herself. I know that couldn't be easy but I know she loves her kids and only did it because she thinks they'll have a better life. On a positive note, at least she is set to get extended visitation rights. After tackling mental illness and losing full custody of her kids, Britney is also putting her career into touch and is recording a brand new album which has no tentative release date. Good to see Britters taking full control of her life and finally getting on the road to full recovery.
E! News managed to get exclusive pictures of Britney Spears' video shoot created for Madonna's concert tour 'Sticky & Sweet'. Filming took place July 9th at the Lot, a soundstage in Hollywood. The photos reveal behind-the-scene moments of the 26-year-old shooting the "short movie" as she takes charge of her life again. The revealing shots show the pop star looking fierce in a black, hooded bodysuit in a steel elevator:
A source on the set told E! News Britney diligently worked on her scenes, and that she was professional but "nervous." Here's the synopsis: In the video, Madonna's 1994 song "Human Nature" is playing. When things start to heat up in the elevator, a choreographed Britney sheds her goggles and bodysuit to reveal her fit and sexy physique. "You've never seen Britney like this before," a source tells E! News. "It will blow your mind." Wow. Britney really means business. After a turbulant and rocky three years, Britney is finally making amends. The Toxic singer is currently in the studio recording a new album tentatively slated for "early 2009". Confirmed producers for the new album include Bloodshy & Avant, Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, Dallas Austin, Danja, Sean Garrett, Guy Sigworth, Fredwreck, JR Rotem, Jim Beanz and Kara Dioguardi.

Beyonce's hair looks like it could be real - what a rarity! Nice length and that but her hair is really thin, like Janet Jackson's. I can see why she consistently rocks lace fronts. Anyway, a party simply isn't a party unless a catchy dance track like Get Me Bodied is blaring out of those speakers.
Yesterday, TMZ reported that Sean Combs was not paying homage to the $100 million he was paid for a contract endorsement with Ciroc Vodka. If anything Diddy was photographed at many parties this week swilling everything BUT Ciroc Vodka:
Knowing that Diddy had put himself in hot water, he quickly released a statement through his his current publicist Kwasi Asare. In part the statement said: 'Entertainment powerhouse, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, today announced that he has given up champagne and tequila. "When I reach for a drink, I reach for Ciroc Vodka" the Bad Boy CEO was quoted as saying. The statement also furiously denied that Diddy was "reveling with other brands" yet, pictures showed Diddy, well, "reveling with other brands". That said, Cannes was definitely the hot spot as of late.

So it looks like the duet really is going ahead. This is bound to be interesting. You know I'm looking forwards to that. Outside of hard work, it's good the two of them could find time to be playful and not take each other too seriously which is how a relationship should be.

So Brit-Brit is collaborating with her ex-boyfriend (JR)? Interesting. I am soooo mad she's done with the Blackout album (pop genuis in my book). The album was too hot for words and there were lots and lots of radio-friendly singles. Loads. Blackout could have ruled the world had she promoted it and came hard with her disastrous VMA performance 7 months ago. I blame her record label for taking advantage and pushing it knowing full well, Brit wasn't in the right frame of mind mentally to make a full explosive comeback. I'm excited for the new album though. Britney may have her personal issues, but musically, she delivers!
Although Rotem, who briefly dated Spears in 2007, would not reveal any details of the project, a Spears family source tells PEOPLE that the pop star is in the early stages of a follow-up to her last album Blackout, which was released last October. "Britney is in the experimental stages of a new album," says the source. "She's trying to find the sound and direction she wants to go in, but nothing is set in stone just yet. She has been playing the piano a lot and just singing. She says she misses 'just singing.'"
Producer Sean Garrett was mum on specifics but says that he and Spears, 26, have "a few things in the works." At the BMI Pop Awards, Garrett told PEOPLE: "I'm just happy to see her back and recovering. She's really shaping up and getting her whole situation back together. Britney Spears was spotted shopping at Kitson's in LA last night. Paps hounded her down and as a result, some of them were arrested. It was practically like a crazed circus. But nothing could prepare us for what was to come. We've already seen her battered snatch (as a result of K-Fed's pounding) as well as her C-Section scar just above it and we didn't think we could see any worse than that. How wrong! Last night, Britney Spears was taken to a Los Angeles hospital for "a medical evaluation" after police were called to her LA home for a "custodial dispute". This was after she flat out refused to hand over the kids back to ex-hubby Kevin Federline. As a result, the police were called. An ambulance also arrived onto the scene and Britney was seen carried onto a stretcher as they made their way to the hospital. According to People, her boys are fine and were not treated for any injury. People has the FULL REPORT as to what went down. They are also doing constant updates on the situation.
